Privacy Statement
The Maynooth Community Council is a voluntary organisation. It focuses on matters of general local interest including planning. It is composed of representatives of Residents Associations, and social, cultural, artistic, sporting and other local organisations.
Maynooth Community Council is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This privacy statement explains how Maynooth Community Council, as the Data Controller, will process the personal data provided to it in respect of the

Lawfulness of processing
The processing of your personal data is lawful under Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation, which provides that the data subject has given consent to the processing of his or her personal data for one or more specific purposes. In this case, the data subject has provided consent to Maynooth Community Council to process their email address and other personal data as provided, for the purposes specified, primarily to engage in contact with Maynooth Community Council.

Security of your personal data
Maynooth Community Council implements appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information from unauthorised access including two factor authentication. However, despite this, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse.

Personal data will not be exchanged with other persons or entities without your permission.
How long will your data be kept?
Maynooth Community Council will only retain your personal data for as long as it is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and processed.
Where regular contact between a member and the Maynooth Community Council and /or attendance at the monthly meetings has ceased for an extended period of time such that the member is “taken as implicit of resignation” in accordance with the Constitution, then the personal data of the member will be deleted in accordance with the Data Protection Policy.
